1. Which organization should I apply to for the OIML certificate of weighing instruments?

Please submit your application for OIML certificate to the OIML Issuing Authority, China (National Institute of Metrology, China).

2. Is it necessary to contact the OIML Issuing Authority, China before application?

Yes. Considering the complexity of OIML technical requirements, please contact the OIML Issuing Authority, China via telephone: 010-64525646, Email: oimlia@nim.ac.cn to make necessary preparation before application.

3. What materials need to be submitted for the official application of OIML certificate?
  1. A completed OIML Certificate Application Form with official seal and signature.
  2. Technical documents specified in Item 4 of OIML Certificate Application Form.
  3. The OIML Certification Agreement with seal and signature.
  4. samples need to be provided to the laboratory.
4. How to fill in Item 3 “Instrument Category” in the OIML Certificate Application Form?

5. Is there any requirement for technical documents specified in Item 4 of OIML Certificate Application Form?
  1. Technical documents catalogue with page numbers shall be provided.
  2. Technical documents shall be affixed with an official seal on each page, or bound into a book with a seal on the cover page and a cross-page seal.
